Dec 10 – Manila | Every year, on December 31, we celebrate the birthday of the 4th Pema Norbu Rinpoche.
This year, it will be on December 28, Saturday, after the 6pm Chenrezig Prayer. We will do a long-life prayer for the 4th Penor Rinpoche and a cake offering.
We are inviting everyone to join the long life prayer and celebration afterwards.
Long life prayer is to make grand aspirations for the long life of our teacher, who teaches us the Dharma, and for the Dharma teachings to remain for our benefit.
His Holiness the 3rd Penor Rinpoche (1932- 2009) is the 11th Lineage Holder of the Palyul Lineage.
In 1963, after escaping Tibet, he built the Namdroling Monastery in India. He oversaw the welfare and education of 5,000 monks and nuns, and spread the Buddhist teachings to many people and countries. He has conferred many teachings and empowerments in countries in the East and West for the benefit of Dharma students.
His reincarnation, the 4th Penor Rinpoche was born in 2011 and recognized as the reincarnation of the 3rd Penor Rinpoche in Palyul Monastery on July 31, 2014.
