Sharing some moving pictures of faithful devotees circumambulating the Stupa of Terton Migyur Dorjee. The Stupa stands in Namdroling Monastery in Bylakuppe India. Taken during the Saga Dawa Holy Month last June 4 – July 2, 2019.
Stupa is a structure that represents the Enlightened and Omniscient mind of the Buddha. Terton Migyur Dorje, who revealed the Namchoe Lineage of Palyul, is considered an Enlightened being and his relics are placed inside this stupa.
Circumambulating holy objects, such as a Stupa, with strong faith and sincerity will earn merit for us. It is a common practice done since the Buddha’s time, and mentioned in numerous Sutras.
