Seventh Annual Conference of Buddhist Scholars

Oct 6 – Palyul Monastery, China | The Seventh Annual Conference of Buddhist Scholars held in Palyul Monastery, Sichuan China began yesterday, October 5, until October 9, 2019.

The Ngayur Nyingma Monastic University in Palyul Monastery, Sichuan, China, have brought together leading scholars from neighboring monasteries to this event. Monastic scholars have come from Kathok, Larung, Shechen, Dzogchen, Darthang, Raya, Lungon, Gyalwa and other renowned monasteries for this fruitful gathering of great minds.

Khenchen Tsewang Tashi, Palyul Monastic University’s Head, introduced the Conference by thanking the respected guests, revered Khenpos and monks, who travelled to Palyul Monastery to attend this event. He apologized in advance if the services for the guests have been less than perfect. 

The objectives of this Conference are:

To promote and expand the Buddha’s Teachings and this Monastic Community’s renown; with the highest intention and purest motivation, to explain and clarify to achieve agreement; to discuss and debate Pramana; to discuss the Great Works of Tantra.
