February Smoke Prayer

Feb 24, 2021 – Manila | Last February 22,, Monday, was the monthly Guru Rinpoche Day. In lieu of this auspicious day and as a customary prayer right after Lunar New Year, the temple held a Smoke Prayer at the center.

The prayer conducted was the Riwo Sang-choe, written by the great master Terton Lhatsun Namkhai Jigme.

During the Smoke Prayer, smoke powder, made of fragrant and pure substances such as oats, butter, herbs and spices, were burned as offering to the four classes of beings. Afterwards, Lungta paper were also offered.

Guru Rinpoche day is always celebrated monthly during the 10th day of each lunar month.
